Course summary

Do you want free access to hospitality training? This fully funded course will give you the skills to work in hospitality roles across a variety of sectors.

You will also receive one-to-one mentoring support, and have access to professional networking opportunities to help you further develop in your career.

You should hold a Level 1 equivalent in maths and English or be able to achieve Level 1 in initial assessments. Ideally, you should want to work within a hospitality role. This qualification includes a series of exams which you would need to attend.

After completing your Hospitality course, you can progress to a Level 2 qualification to further develop your management skills.

You will cover:

  • Good hygiene and safety practices, with the opportunity to earn Food Hygiene, First Aid and COSHH certificates

  • How to work as part of a team

  • How to deliver good customer service

  • How to build your CV, search for jobs and prepare for interviews

You will also develop your skills in a fully functioning hospitality environment, The Max bistro, allowing you to:

  • Make hot beverages at the barista station

  • Serve refreshments and deliver silver service in the dining area

  • Pull pints and attend a mocktail masterclass at the bar

  • Turn down rooms and carry out housekeeping duties

  • Manage bookings, handle cash and take till system payments
